Overview
Arts Education Teaching Sequence (AETS) is an essential component of the VAPAE minor. It comprises three courses (Arts Ed M102, M192, M192XP) in which selected undergraduates explore core issues in arts education, creativity, and social justice. Students are then assigned to K-12 classrooms in the Los Angeles area, where they first observe and then implement an 8-week sequential arts-based unit plan under the supervision of a credentialed guiding teacher. These AETS courses are offered each year, and students may begin the sequential coursework in the Fall or Spring quarters.Minimum Qualifications: BA required; MA or PhD preferred; relevant professional experienceSalary: See Table #15 at cop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/\_files/2024-25/july-2024-scales/t15.pdfAnnual Salary Range $68,247-$192,040.
