This position is for a Principal Maintenance Technical Integrator and Deputy to the Senior Leader for the Edwards AFB Flight Test Maintenance team. The selected candidate will lead an exciting journey as we transform flight test maintenance operations through innovation in order to improve maintenance efficiency and aircraft availability.

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Subject Matter Expert in maintenance to join the Edwards AFB Flight Test Maintenance team. In this critical role, you will support the senior leader responsible over F-35, F-22 and FMS F-16 Flight line maintenance operations by overseeing day-to-day operations, leading corrective action investigations, analyzing metrics and processes to identify opportunities to innovate and improve team efficiency and identify and communicate risks and opportunities. You will assist the site Maintenance Senior Manager with all aspects of the maintenance complex across three independent flight test units, and act as his delegate on all technical matters.

The selected candidate will have strong cognizance and oversight over flight line maintenance activities in support of developmental test operations, and root cause correction and process improvement. The self-supervisory candidate will employ a breadth of 5th gen flight line maintenance expertise and best practices to direct and lead a team of maintenance professionals to efficiently and effectively generate sorties to meet the developmental flight schedule across a fleet of 30 instrumented aircraft.

A level 6 employee typically has 20 - 30+ years of professional experience.

Desired Skills

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional and/or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional certifications
• Experience in transitioning from on-premises to cloud-based infrastructure
• Familiarity with DoD requirements and experience in DoD environments
• Experience in bridging cloud and on-premises factory/physical infrastructure
• Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex AWS architectures
• Proficiency in AWS services, including EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation
• Expertise in cloud security, networking, and cost optimization
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation; Continuous integration (CI)/Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CD) - tool chains (pipelines) that automate the process of configuration management, unit testing, static analysis, etc.
