Overview
Draw detailed scale plans for structures, installations and construction projects based on preliminary concepts, sketches, design guidelines set forth by municipalities and governing agencies and data provided by leadership
Work independently on 2D and 3D detailed construction drawings and designs using computer aided design (CAD) or building information modeling (BIM) software
Use independent judgement to create complete architectural construction drawings by using CAD and/or Revit software
Interpret and apply company and AHJ standards on designs and layouts
Design schematic concepts in conjunction with client programs
Correlate, interpret, and modify data obtained from subconsultant drawings and reports
Convert and digitize electronic files into usable CAD files
Prepare drawings in compliance with company drawing and CAD/BIM standards
Research design options and code issues
Provide high level of customer service to clients
Perform redline mark ups as directed by others
Review civil and SMEP plans to assure coordination with architectural design plans
Highlight completed redlines, print check drawings and review prior to returning complete work
Perform other project duties as assigned
Position requirements include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design with 6+ years’ experience; or in lieu of a degree, 10+ years of related experience and/or training
Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
Knowledge of SketchUp, 3D Rendering Software, Photo Editing Software, and Microsoft Office Suite
