Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 annually, based on experience
Position Summary
The Video Coordinator at Triple Crown Sports is responsible for managing and producing high-quality video content that captures the energy, competition, and passion of Triple Crown events. This role oversees game footage, digital assets, highlight reels, and social media content across all sports and platforms. From planning and shooting to editing and archiving, the Video Coordinator will play a key role in bringing the Triple Crown brand to life through video.
Level Scope
This is a mid-level role for a self-driven, tech-savvy professional who can work independently and within a team. The Video Coordinator will manage video production workflows with minimal supervision and may support, train, or guide interns and entry-level video staff.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Film, Media, Communications, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in video production or equivalent relevant experience
Core Competencies and Skills
- Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Blackmagic ATEM, NewBlue Captivate
- Knowledge of XOS Thunder, Synergy, or similar sports video analysis software
- Experience working in networked environments (e.g., mapping drives, printers, file servers)
- Strong shooting, lighting, and editing capabilities
- Excellent sense of pacing, music selection, and visual storytelling for highlight videos and promos
- Creative mindset with attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Comfortable managing digital media libraries and video archives
- Ability to problem-solve technical issues quickly in high-paced environments
Key Responsibilities
Video Production & Post-Production
- Plan, shoot, and edit a variety of video content, including game highlights, event recaps, interviews, and promotional materials
- Maintain and troubleshoot camera, audio, and editing equipment
- Ensure brand consistency, video quality, and creative standards across all content
Content Management
- Maintain an organized video archive of all sports and events
- Develop and manage video assets for social media, website, and internal use
- Research and implement new video production techniques and technologies
Social Media & Digital Presence
- Create engaging social content that promotes Triple Crown events and athletes
- Collaborate with the marketing team to maintain a cohesive and impactful digital presence
- Support website updates with video integration and highlight content
Team & Event Support
- Provide video support for athletes and coaches including video breakdowns, scouting, and recruitment footage
- Support media requests and assist with content production for press, sponsors, and internal departments
- Travel to major events and tournaments to oversee on-site video coverage and content creation
Additional Duties (As Needed)
- Assist with player photo shoots, live streams, and special presentations
- Coordinate with freelance and contract video crews on-site
- Support other departments as needed with video expertise and execution
- Ensure compliance with video usage rights, data storage protocols, and media guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a sports environment (collegiate, pro, or large youth tournaments)
- Familiarity with livestreaming, graphic overlays, and live production tools
- Experience training interns or working with contract/freelance creatives
- Flexible schedule - evenings, weekends, and travel are required during event seasons
