Job Title- UX Designer

Project Location Hybrid in Chicago, IL (3 days onsite in a week)

Job Description: Project Overview:
The *** Design team is looking for a UX designer to join one of our teams focused on a product redesign and re-platform. The position requires detailed visual and interface design, with some support for research, development, definition work, and exploratory concepting. Much of the work for this role will focus on creating and evolving new features and functionality, working closely with development teams to bring the application to life. We're a large, highly collaborative team working on a complex product. We work directly with business, product, development, and technology teams, and an upcoming release means opportunities to be involved in client research, training, and service definition.

Contractors Role: As part of a product design team within a larger business group you will have many responsibilities, but also variety, which keeps it lively. This team is also a part of the larger internal design team, which is great for exposure to other projects and expanding your experience.

Experience Level: Senior , over 7 years, more is better, with corporate office work experience, financial domain is a plus

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in UX, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, HCI, or related field
1-5 years of professional UX/UI experience, working within an enterprise or agency environment
Experience creating desktop / responsive web applications
Working familiarity with some flavor of UI tools: Figma, Sketch, InVision, Abstract, Zeplin, etc.
Flexibility to handle various design tasks including concepting, research, visual design
Strong communication and conceptual thinking abilities
Experience working directly with subject matter experts, stakeholder teams, or research participants to translate their needs into design outputs
Current online portfolio that demonstrates solving client problems a URL to work examples must be provided for consideration

Nice-to-Haves
Experience working within established design systems
Experience in storyboarding/writing, data visualizations, animation, usability studies
Financial services experience is nice to have, but not required

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Be a champion for user-centered design and the client voice
Uncover user needs through discovery sessions with teams across the bank and research with employees and clients
Quickly generate concepts and communicate them to various audiences through hand sketches, digital prototypes, or motion examples
Implement brand-appropriate design based on existing design systems and UX best practices
Manage feedback from business teams, clients, and product to find practical, useful design solutions
Create production-ready UI that represents the approved design, and collaborate with developers to build a good experience

Top 3 Musts:

• UX/UI designer, but more of UI Work with stakeholders to build out high fidelity designs and prototypes Work with broader teams and be a strong team player Works in Figma, Teams, Zeplin are the main skills they are looking for.
• This work will be desktop focused on a Website Mobile designer can handle this role also The team is overseeing the the modernization of the designs, the direct team has at least 3 to 4 people that they will be working with this person.
• And then there are more people throughout all within this group When looking at a Portfolio what is he is looking for Having real work vs. a case study that they built on their own or through a workshop Working with a corporation and doing the design and build out Clearly communicate the decisions that were made in doing the work that they have done a lot of the work is advocacy really shows the thinking Well polished design, someone that can take things to the next steps Take research, understand it and design it Wants to see Process problem resolutions Larger companies and Tech companies would be ideal Any financial experience is a plus
