What will the Sr. Data & Business Analyst do?
- Lead cross-functional projects, integrating data from various sources to uncover insights that drive strategic business decisions
- Develop and maintain complex data models, reporting systems, dashboards, and performance metrics tailored to stakeholder needs
- Ensure data accuracy, validate data sources, and streamline data integration processes across cloud-based and on-premise systems
- Translate financial and operational data into clear, actionable business insights for senior leadership and key stakeholders
- Collaborate with technology and business teams to support migration and optimization of legacy systems, enhancing data accessibility and usability
- Present analytical findings and strategic recommendations through compelling presentations to executives and other stakeholders
What the company needs in a Sr. Data & Business Analyst
- Strong SQL skills (required) with the ability to perform complex queries involving multiple tables and subqueries
- Experience with data modeling, integration, and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Proven ability to analyze complex datasets and translate them into strategic business insights
- Excellent communication skills for presenting data-driven insights to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders to ensure data models and analytical results align with business needs
- Familiarity with data migration projects, particularly in environments with older systems transitioning to modern platforms
- Knowledge of predictive analytics, statistical modeling techniques, and hypothesis testing
- Background in financial data analysis and reporting, with a focus on supporting strategic initiatives
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must be able to work 100% on-site in White Plains, NY without requiring Sponsorship
- Experience with SQL OR Python for data analysis and automation
- Proficiency in big data tools (e.g., Teradata, Hadoop) and advanced analytics platforms
- Familiarity with Adobe Analytics, SAS, and other statistical software
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- At least 7 years of work experience, with 5+ years in data analytics roles
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
