Overview
Implement the board-level design process, collaborating with multi-functional teams including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and firmware engineers. Define the system architecture and design specifications for sophisticated electronic systems. Develop schematic designs and oversee the placement and routing of electronic components on printed circuit boards (PCBs). Conduct feasibility studies and trade-off analysis to optimize system performance, cost, and manufacturability. Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to select appropriate components and ensure design compliance. Perform detailed hardware design analysis, such as signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal analysis, to ensure robust and reliable operation. Review and provide feedback on PCB layouts, ensuring alignment to design guidelines and standard methodologies. Conduct design reviews and participate in multi-functional team meetings to drive projects forward and resolve technical challenges. Stay up to date with the latest advancements in board-level design, hardware components, and manufacturing technologies to drive innovation and improve product performance. Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers, encouraging a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment. Requirements:
Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering. 12 Years of proven experience as a Hardware Architect or a similar role, with a focus on board-level design. Strong proficiency in schematic design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD) and PCB layout tools (e.g., Allegro, PADS). In-depth knowledge of board-level design principles, including high-speed digital design, analog design, and mixed-signal design. Experience with signal integrity analysis tools (e.g., Hyperlynx, CST Studio Suite) and simulation software (e.g., SPICE). Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as IPC standards, EMC/EMI compliance, and safety certifications. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to solve complex hardware issues. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multi-functional teams. Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and FPGA-based designs is a plus. A track record of successful product development projects and the ability to deliver high-quality designs within schedule and budget constraints. If you are a passionate Hardware Architect with a strong background in board-level design and are excited about driving innovation in the electronics industry, we would love to hear from you.
