Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
Various duties including studio operations, recording sound, operating a video camera, switching and assisting with set-up.
Responsibilities
Setup and striking of A/V equipment including projectors, projection screens, laptops, sound systems, microphone, audio mixers, web cameras & video cameras. Working with other students on daily operations such as Webcheckout, event schedule, answering support calls from the Service Desk, deploying to locations for service call support, maintaining cleanliness & organization of equipment storage locations, ability to work together as a team or single technician on events and working with senior staff on duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Must be experienced with all phases of television production. It is a requirement that the student must have taken FTV114 or have the equivalent.

Competent, attentive, active, and aware. Punctuality, reliability, dependability, and commitment to work predetermined assigned shifts which may include weekends. Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively either in-person or on the telephone with administrators, faculty, staff, students, or with the community. Proper casual office attire with no open-toe shoes while on the job.
Special Instructions to Applicants
Our department is in operation roughly between the hours of 7:30am until after 10:00pm each day of the week. For consideration purposes, please let us know your work availability each hour during each day (including weekends). It is wise not to be too limited with your hours of availability. Students are paired with each other alongside selected staff members on designated shifts but can also be required to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
