The Senior Designer of Global Visual Merchandising will be involved in various aspects of visual merchandising from initial design development to execution. Collaboration with the VM and Store Design teams is essential. The role involves developing innovative design solutions. Additional responsibilities will include maintaining consistency of the style standards of VM throughout our global markets.
As we develop new concepts, the position requires a cost• effective approach while remaining at the forefront of design and technology. All Visual Merchandising team members will be responsible in helping bring their ideas to life through presentation materials and detailed drawings.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Work closely with the VM and SD teams to help create compelling Line testers, Launch testers, Events, Holiday and special projects based on briefs from global marketing and creative departments.
- The ability to design form initial concept to 3• D computer renderings, to 2D drawing details and often the construction of full size model prototypes.
- Create technical drawings and planograms in Vectorworks/CAD for launch units, line testers and bars, as well as new design concepts when needed.
- Partner with VP on design development for seasonal product launches and create execution drawings for all aspects of a launch from in• store testers to window displays, to events, pop• ups and other animations.
- Collaborate with cross• functional partners when needed to gain necessary assets and information for execution drawings and guidelines.
- Maintain awareness of trends, styles, materials and technology relative to the prestige and luxury skincare competition. Provide learnings to Global Merchandising Team.
- Maintain knowledge and awareness of sustainable design best practices and proactively apply to all projects.
- 4+ years of graphic design experience
- Beauty and/or fashion experience is required
- Experience with visual merchandising design, including tester displays, environmental graphics/window displays, props
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high pressure, creative environment
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Proficient in 3D design software (Rhino preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task with agility
- Must be a self-starter, flexible and imaginative with an understanding of 3D design
- Can take direction, work independently and collaboratively
- Knowledge of trends in the beauty, fashion and/or art world
Pay Range:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $73,150.00 to $109,200.00. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
