For more information, please visit mannkindcorp.com.Position Overview: The Executive Director, of Investor Relations will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing MannKind's strategic investor relations initiatives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with our CEO and CFO in executing our investor strategy. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the investment community, including buy-side and sell-side focus areas and valuation methodologies. Key responsibilities include crafting a persuasive investment narrative and communicating the MannKind story and key talking points at investor conferences. This role encompasses strategy development with senior leadership, communication and engagement with the investment community, insight gathering and analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with leaders in finance, corporate communications, commercial, manufacturing, and legal.Key Responsibilities:
Foster investor confidence and belief in the company's vision and strategy for delivering shareholder valueBuild and manage a robust reputation through consistent and clear communication with internal and external stakeholdersEstablish relationships with Buyside and Sellside, leading proactive efforts to maintain high visibility for the company through Non-deal Roadshows and investor relation-led initiativesManage communications with existing and potential shareholders and analysts, responding intuitively to their information needs in compliance with company policies and securities regulationsCollaborate with executive leadership to enhance engagement with analysts, achieving coverage that recognizes portfolio value and aligns with the corporate growth trajectoryConduct targeted outreach to the financial community, planning and organizing conferences, non-deal roadshows, quarterly updates, and Analyst DayCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business intelligence, including real-time insights and analysis of analyst research, investor sentiment, competitor activity, and prepare executive leadership and other internal stakeholders for investor interactionsWork closely with corporate communications and other cross-functional partners to maintain consistent external messagingCollaborate with the legal team to develop securities filings and other disclosures, ensuring compliance with company policies and securities regulations, including Reg FD, across corporate communications and investor and analyst interactionsPrepare executive leadership and other internal stakeholders for investor interactionsCreate presentations, press releases, and other communication materials for earnings releases, industry events, and presentations to investors, analysts, and bankersDetermine the optimal type and mix of shareholders, and create that mix through various targeting initiativesOversee the production of annual reports and partner internally on SEC filings, proxy statements, and ESG ReportsEducation & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree is preferred10-15 years of experience in investor relations, investment banking, or equity research within or covering biotechnology or pharmaceutical companies is required; or similar experience in the medical device, life science or pharmaceutical sectorAbility to understand, communicate, and respond to questions about complex scientific and clinical data from sophisticated investment community stakeholdersAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners to develop impactful communications and advance corporate and program strategyExcellent computer skills (particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)Superior relationship-building skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and stylesPrior experience in the medical device, life science or pharmaceutical sector preferredOrganizational agility - can confidently gain credibility quickly with leaders across all parts of the organization, including executive managementThrives in diverse environments with high levels of ambiguityCollaborative and builds strong professional relationships easilyAbility to influence without authority, lead change, and manage resistance to changeMust be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, and resourceful.Pay Range:
