If you are considering sending an application, make sure to hit the apply button below after reading through the entire description.The Director of Digital Content is a full-time position that serves as a member of the external operations team and will report to the Assistant Commissioner for Strategic Communications. Responsibilities include the following:Responsible for assisting in the development and execution of a comprehensive digital strategy.Responsible for website and social media analytics in support of the overall digital strategy.Create content (written, graphic, photo, video) for distribution in support of the digital strategy.Work with campus correspondents to identify story ideas and produce content to increase interactions and interaction rates.Assist in building production templates for use in ASUN communication elements (such as weekly awards, preseason awards, postseason awards, highlights of the week, games of the week, etc.).Serve as the primary media relations contact for assigned sport(s), providing game day coverage and website updates.Update and report standings, statistics, and record books as assigned.Assist in Player of the Week selections.Serve as an oversight and manager of the conference’s main and ancillary social media platforms, including the production and distribution.Serve as a liaison for on-campus colleagues to increase student and fan engagement in support of the ASUN digital media plan.Assist with sponsorship and partnership fulfillment, in support of the external team goals and objectives.Travel to and provide on-site support for ASUN championships and events as assigned.Responsible for alternate and/or additional duties as assigned by the Commissioner.Minimum qualifications for this position include:A bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in relevant areas.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and organizational skills.Knowledge and experience in social and digital media including X, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and/or other digital media platforms.Knowledge and experience in graphic design, video production, and/or website management.Ability to anticipate and execute new forms of digital content and the use of new platforms.Ability to relocate to Jacksonville, Florida.A demonstrated commitment to the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism.A willingness to travel and work extended hours (nights and weekends) as necessary.
