Job Description
This role is for a growth hustler to join our small ~5-person founding team in the US in the San Jose area. We have a team of ~13 engineers in Mumbai & Pune, India, who have built multiple products cohesively centered around AI-powered knowledge assistants for the enterprise. This role is a unique opportunity to join stage zero of an SF Bay rocketship poised for take-off - as the first growth hire reporting to the co-founder/CEO & the head of sales.
Why the "founding/GTM" title? You will work closely with the co-founder/head of design and the co-founder/CEO, who are both deeply technical. As the #1 growth hacker in the US (SF bay), we are specifically modeling this role for someone choosing to work in a fast-paced, scrappy startup - with fluid processes, unpredictable work hours, & bleeding-edge raw tech, and for someone who enjoys the thrill of taking risks in the pursuit of the promised land. We are a seed-stage company, and the title, compensation & equity is our way of signaling alignment.
Responsibilities
You will work closely with the founders to create a powerful growth marketing machine for Ayraa from the ground up. The target market, buyer personas, pricing, and product design are perfectly aligned to introduce a product-led growth (PLG) model that will leverage modern frameworks like enterprise freemium, referrals, bottom-up sales, self-serve onboarding, etc. The first phase has been spent building this machinery out end to end, from customer acquisition to premium subscriptions. With that already built, the second phase involves constant iterations over this machine to optimize the funnel for conversions and budget allocations. Specific responsibilities include:
- Drive lead generation through a multi-channel approach, including buzz generation, email outreach automation, performance marketing via search, social media, & retargeting, influencer marketing, biz-dev partnerships, and other amplification sources we can find
- The role involves, at the one end, behind-the-scenes content creation, conversion funnel analytics & brainstorming, while at the other end, putting yourself out there on podcasts, shows, calls, and videos with hosts, customers, partners, etc.
- Working closely with the founders and product team to optimize & iterate on a world-class self-serve onboarding experience and a well-tuned free-to-premium conversion funnel
- Working with the founders & designers to help optimize the main website and key go-to-market landing pages
- Capturing Ayraa's voice and personality consistently across all marketing assets
- Iteratively zone in on the right message-to-market fitness for the company and individual features
Qualifications
- Overall 3+ years of industry experience, ideally in a B2C/B2B SaaS sales (preferably in PLG/short sales cycles)
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, IT, Journalism, Marketing or related fields
- Familiarity with at least a few of the PLG frameworks, such as freemium, self-serve, referral marketing, bottom-up sales, funnel analytics, etc
- Powerful verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to both produce and critique go-to-market messaging
- Strong eye for modern design & trends (however, no production skills necessary)
- Organized and able to multi-task
