The Opportunity:
starpower is seeking a Senior Vice President to lead and grow our HCP & Patient Influencer Practice across the health, wellness, aesthetics, and pharmaceutical categories. This executive-level role will serve as a strategic leader, trusted advisor, and visionary responsible for scaling the agency’s work in the regulated influencer marketing space. You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams, own senior client relationships, and play a pivotal role in shaping thought leadership and agency growth in the health and wellness sector.
This is a hybrid role, based in our New York office or remotely within the US, depending on team and business needs.
What You’ll Do:
Strategic Leadership & Vision
Serve as the lead architect for healthcare provider (HCP) and patient influencer and culture marketing strategies within highly regulated healthcare sectors, including pharma, biotech, health tech, and wellness.
Develop and scale a best-in-class HCP and patient influencer offering, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks (FDA, FTC, MLR) while delivering culturally resonant storytelling.
Act as a senior strategic advisor to clients, shaping long-term vision and annual programming, and guiding senior stakeholders through nuanced engagement strategies.
Act as a key growth driver in scaling the offering to existing Real Chemistry clients as well as new clients, inclusive of external thought leadership to drive awareness and recognition of our offering
Practice Management & Execution Oversight
Oversee the execution of integrated influencer campaigns, including identification, vetting, contracting, and performance analytics—ensuring alignment with business objectives, patient needs, and cultural relevancy.
Build and mentor high-performing teams, ensuring quality standards, operational excellence, and a strong culture of accountability and innovation.
Ensure medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) alignment in all stages of influencer engagement, with a strong understanding of HCP and patient communication standards.
Client Development & Growth
Lead senior client relationships with a consultative, problem-solving approach, consistently delivering high-impact solutions and demonstrating ROI.
Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and lead proactive ideation and cross-functional integration with agency partners.
Support and lead new business development efforts, from proposal creation and pitch presentations to final negotiation and onboarding, for direct clients as well as larger integrated Real Chemistry clients
Own revenue forecasting, team resourcing, and budget management for the HCP/Patient practice.
Ensure efficient and compliant financial operations across all campaigns, including influencer compensation, OOP tracking, and SOW management.
Drive continuous improvement in internal systems and reporting to ensure scalability and visibility into program performance.
Thought Leadership & Innovation
Serve as a subject matter expert on the evolving influencer landscape in health and wellness—shaping agency IP, POVs, and public presence.
Represent Real Chemistry and starpower externally at industry events and in media/press as a leader in healthcare influencer marketing.
Monitor regulatory, cultural, and digital trends to future-proof client campaigns and identify white space for innovation.
What You Should Have:
12–15+ years of experience in influencer marketing, social media strategy, or integrated communications—at least 5 years with healthcare/HCP or regulated brand work.
Proven experience leading large, complex accounts or influencer programs across HCP, patient, and consumer audiences.
Deep knowledge of influencer marketing compliance requirements within the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and mentoring rising leaders within an agency or brand environment.
Executive presence and strong relationship-building skills with clients, talent, partners, and internal stakeholders.
A forward-thinking, solutions-oriented mindset that inspires creativity, rigor, and results.
Experience in overseeing paid media and measurement frameworks that support influencer campaigns.
Pay Range: $200,000.00-$225,000.00
This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location. Working with Real HART: Since the pandemic, we have adapted to how our people told us they want to work. We have office locations in cities in the US and Europe with many employees and clients that serve as hubs where and when they need us. For employees who are within an hour of one of our offices, we expect attendance in the office two days per week, either at a Real Chemistry office or onsite with clients.
