We are seeking a talented professional like you with a growth mindset and owner’s mind. You develop and implement growth projects and marketing plans, energized to develop Sustainability offerings for our customers in the C3 value chain and brings them to life, and spearhead our efforts to better understand our markets, product applications, and competitive activity for our key-products in North America. Your key-interfaces are going to be Product Management, Global Strategic Marketing, the Sales team, and Operations to drive commercial excellence and prepare and implement growth projects. The role lives of close collaboration with counterparts from our global team as well as other regions.

Being responsible for our marketing-based activities for BASF’s C3 value chain in North America, mainly acrylic acid, acrylates and oxo-alcohols. Aligning with further downstream applications such as Superabsorbent Polymer (SAP) products and Plasticizers. Leading efforts to collect, analyze, and interpret our customer’s evolving needs so that BASF can position itself for long-term growth in theNorth American market.
Gathering and consolidating market and competitive information from the Sales team and complementing it with data from global trade flows and market studies. Translating it into tangible growth opportunities. Taking the lead in developing growth projects and investments in the North American market and translating them into tangible future sales plans.
Building and realizing the Sustainability strategy for the C3 value chain in North America. Guiding the Sales team and discussions with key-customers and together with the Product Managers. Developing a tangible go-to-market strategy and value proposition.
Managing interfaces and keeping information flowing amongst the commercial team, operations, engineering, and global strategic and technological units. Presenting a pro-active communication and a sharing mentality are a must.
Being in the constant watch for new market segments, alternative applications, and new customers. Deriving tangible Sales leads from market studies and other data sources and guide our Sales efforts.
If you...
Possess an Undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or business. (MBA and graduate degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering preferred).
Have 10-15 years experience in marketing and/or sales, preferably in chemical commodity markets with relevant hands-on experience of the respective marketing tool box.
