Media Connect, the book division of Finn Partners, is seeking a passionate Associate Publicist to join us. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a passion for storytelling. We offer the opportunity to work with authors of books across a wide variety of subject matters. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience, a familiarity with media, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously. Key Responsibilities:
- Pitch traditional and online media, securing features, reviews, interviews, and event opportunities for books across various genres.
- Craft compelling press materials, including press releases, pitch letters, and media kits.
- Coordinate author events and virtual appearances.
- Provide detailed reports to clients.
- Mail review copies to media contacts.
Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with media outlets.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work on multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- This position is a hybrid role based in our New York City office (in-office 2 days per week).
