Your Role
Gensler (Denver Office) is seeking a Senior Signage & Wayfinding Designer, with a passion for helping our clients enhance their built spaces through complex signage and wayfinding systems. This position will focus on the ability to understand an environment's design, and to develop and program a complex signage and wayfinding system to fit that space. This system will help a visitor, student, passenger-any number of users-navigate that space through a combination of environmental graphics, signage, wayfinding, and physical installations.
What You Will Do
Work with a multi-disciplinary team of architects and designers to create a strategy, design signage and wayfinding solutions that connect people to place for diverse client projectsGenerate multiple initial concepts and develop viable, documented design solutions that help solve complex wayfinding conditionsIntegrate messaging, color, imagery, type and composition into three-dimensional built environmentsProduce design intent documentation suitable for public bid processes.Review and elevate quality of our design and documentation with design sensibility, code and technical knowledgeManage construction administration with fabricators, RFIs and installation quality.Mentor and train junior designersCollaborate with clients, design teams and other graphic designers across multiple industriesFacilitate great design results by cultivating and maintaining positive client and team relationshipsPerform as point of contact on projects for clients, vendors, and teamsManage multidisciplinary project team workload for multiple projectsCreate and manage project scopes, budgets and workplansManage project financial performanceAssist in the development of proposals and collaborate in the strategic development of new businessInteract with internal team members, project managers from other areas, representatives from accounting and external vendorsManage coordination between internal departments or studiosWork with project manager to inform project staffing/hoursYour Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, industrial design, environmental design, architecture, visual communication or related field10+ years of professional experience in brand development, signage and wayfinding, environmental graphic design or similar studio experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to read architectural construction documents and shop drawingsTotally client- and team-oriented, knows how to balance demands for time and resourcesStrong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skillsExperience in marketing, writing and delivering proposals for project workProficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Word and ExcelKnowledge of project management tools and methodsOrganized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects and deadlinesComfortable in internal and external client facing situationsFamiliarity with CAD and Revit preferred

**Compensation is based upon experience and estimated range is $95,000 - $130,000 annually + bonuses + benefits
