About the Team
The Digital Creative Team is a dynamic group of talented art directors, photographers, producers, digital designers, production artists, and copywriters. We work closely with our counterparts to make our websites, apps, emails, and digital assets come alive with Pottery Barn Kids and Teen’s brand voice and vision. We also collaborate closely with our cross-functional partners in eCom, Development, and Brand Marketing to name a few! About the Role
The Interactive Digital Designer will strategize, design, and produce creative enhancements to improve user experience and interaction throughout the customer journey on our Pottery Barn Kids and Teen website.
Responsibilities
- Support Creative Leaders to establish and improve the look and feel of various interfaces, including desktop and mobile websites and mobile apps.
- Design campaigns across all digital channels to support the customer experience through web, mobile, app, email, and social and user-centered prototypes.
- Work within brand guidelines to evolve the brand’s style through all customer touchpoints onsite including PIPs, shop paths, and checkout.
- Collaborate with Developers and IT teams to solve UX issues with visual- and functionality-based solutions by providing detailed designs and user flows as well as QAing new initiatives and providing detailed feedback.
- Innovate and develop solutions for complex user interaction problems, supporting a frictionless customer experience through typography, color palettes, buttons, animations, and imagery.
- Self-manage the design process from initial concept, final design, handoff to Developers, user testing, and launch.
- Maintain creative process, workflow, and relationships between Creative, Editorial, Marketing, and Developers.
- Work and communicate efficiently and effectively with Business and Creative teams to fulfill designs and deliverables.
- Collaborate and support Designers on the Digital Creative Team.
Criteria
- 3+ years of digital/web design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in visual, web, or graphic design.
- Proficiency in Figma, Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Clear knowledge of content management systems.
- Basic HTML coding experience.
- Familiarity with Slack and Microsoft Teams.
- A record of bringing new ideas to fruition.
- Meticulous attention to detail and work well within tight deadlines.
- A solid understanding of typography, layout, and design.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks.
- Outstanding visual, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with current online advertising practices, trends, and functionalities.
- Effectively take direction and work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work onsite in the San Francisco office Monday-Thursday.

The expected starting pay range for this position is $80,000 - 90,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
