The Role
We are looking for a Community & Social Media Marketing Specialist who will serve as IONNA's brand ambassador and voice in the online EV and local Rechargery communities - engaging with drivers, local businesses, and other organizations to drive brand awareness, increase station utilization, and foster strategic local partnerships that grow our regional roots. This role will oversee social media engagement, community outreach, chamber of commerce, local business relationships, and direct interactions with EV clubs and driver forums.
The ideal candidate is an energetic digital communicator and relationship-builder with experience in social media, grassroots marketing, and event coordination. This person will be on the front lines of ensuring IONNA's charging stations are not just locations, but destinations for EV drivers on the open road and close to home.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Community Engagement
Monitor and actively engage in EV driver communities, including Reddit (Tesla, Rivian, Ford Lightning forums), Facebook groups, and Discord channels, representing IONNA and building brand advocacy. Manage and post to IONNA's social media accounts (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook) with compelling content that resonates with drivers and partners. Identify and respond to trends, questions, and conversations in real-time, ensuring IONNA stays top-of-mind for EV enthusiasts. Support content production team by capturing and generating high quality content that is native to each platform. Local Partnerships & Event Marketing
Build relationships with local chambers of commerce, tourism boards, and small business associations to drive awareness and increase charging station traffic. Organize EV club meetups, road trips, and special promotions with groups like the Ford F-150 Lightning Club of America, Tesla Owners Groups, and regional car clubs. Develop strategic collaborations with IONNA local Rechargery entrepreneurs and other local businesses-from coffee shops to retail stores-to create exclusive offers and co-branded promotions for EV drivers. Identify and coordinate sponsorships, co-marketing opportunities, and community events at IONNA Rechargeries to attract new drivers and strengthen brand presence. Advertising & Strategic Growth
Collaborate with local businesses and venues to explore advertising opportunities at and near charging stations, ensuring optimal visibility for IONNA. Track engagement metrics, customer acquisition, and event performance to continually refine strategies and maximize community impact. Who You Are
A minimum of 2 years of experience in social media management, community engagement, event marketing, or partnerships (EV industry or automotive experience a plus!). A digital native who understands social media trends, community-building strategies, and the power of grassroots marketing that is also passionate about creating in-person connections and events. A self-starter who thrives on building relationships and turning conversations into business opportunities. Passionate about EVs and the future of mobility - and excited to be part of a company shaping that future. Comfortable working cross-functionally and collaborating with teams in marketing, product, partnerships, tech, and operations to drive business objectives. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content and engage in online discussions authentically.
