Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develops public relations materials to enhance Crawford County Memorial Hospital's community image. Oversees internal communications, including weekly employee newsletter. Oversees all advertising for newspapers, radio, internet, and social media. Oversees facility digital signage. Oversees the implementation of social media posts and related activities on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other platforms as designated. Oversees website development, as well as changes, additions and deletions of individual elements. Assures a calendar is created for marketing activities for social media campaigns, blogs, podcasts, and other internal marketing. Oversees news releases and other media stories for distribution. Conducts interviews with all media. Assist others as needed. Coordinates media contacts for Board of Trustees, CEO, medical staff, and employees. Oversees all off-site activities including parade appearances, ambulance crews and first aid tents for events, lunch-and-learn education sessions, sponsored activities, and golf outings. Oversees the volunteer programs at CCMH including the Community Cares Patient Transportation Service, CCMH Auxiliary, Senior Health Information and Insurance Program (SHIIP), and Good Samaritan Center Thrift Shop, and other programs as may be added developed or assigned. In cooperation with staff and employees, schedules, organizes and provides marketing support for the Community Wellness events. Oversees Community Health Needs Assessment. Schedules and attends all meetings of the Board of Directors of the Hospital Foundation of Crawford County (HFCC). Coordinates HFCC Employee Scholarship program with the assistance of the CCMH CFO. Oversees the operations of the Good Samaritan Center Thrift Shop. Develops and coordinates fund raising activities for the Crawford County Memorial Hospital including annual giving, planned giving, campaigns and special events. Maintains and coordinates the Crawford County Memorial Hospital fundraising functions including maintaining donor tracking records, correspondence, donor recognition, and volunteer management. Creates and promotes fund raising programs. Researches public and private grant agencies to identify other sources of funding, applies for grants and grant management. Keeps abreast of current fund raising and public relations programs, practices, and procedures being used in the nonprofit sector. Informs potential contributors of special needs, encourage individuals, corporations, and foundations to establish or contribute to special funds through endowments, trusts, donations of gift-in-kind, or bequests, conferring with attorneys to establish methods of transferring fund to benefit both donors and Crawford County Memorial Hospital. Coordination of the assignment of responsibilities for personal solicitation for hospital projects to members of staff, board members, volunteers, or other appropriate individuals. Contracts grant writing/fundraising activities with Crawford County entities through agreements/contracts by the Crawford County Memorial Hospital. Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment. Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a team inter- and intra-departmentally to facilitate the department's ability to meet its goals and objectives. Operates as the Public Information Office in the Incident Command structure. Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned. Professional Requirements: Complete annual education requirements. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Report to work on time and as scheduled. Wear identification while on duty. Maintain regulatory requirements, including all state, federal and local regulations. Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times. Comply with all organizational policies. Conduct oneself as a professional in accordance with PRIDE values. Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities. Attend regular staff meetings and in-services. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university, in marketing, communications, non-profit development, or other related field, Required. One (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or training, Preferred. Director will possess exemplary interpersonal and communication skills as well as sound financial management skills and will be computer literate. Experience in grant writing, fundraising, and donor engagement preferred.
