Summary:
Business Messaging is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEO-Focused Content Strategist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a data-driven content strategy aimed at improving search rankings, driving traffic, and increasing engagement. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SEO best practices into website pages, product marketing materials, and other digital content.
Responsibilities:
SEO & Content Strategy Execution:
Develop and execute a comprehensive, data-driven content strategy to improve search rankings, drive traffic, and boost engagement.
Create SEO-optimized content, including blog posts, landing pages, guides, and more, aligning with keyword intent and search demand.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure SEO best practices are embedded within website pages, product marketing, and digital assets.
Technical SEO & Optimization:
Implement and provide guidance on technical SEO best practices, including site architecture, internal linking, schema markup, page speed, and mobile optimization.
Partner with developers and content teams to resolve SEO challenges, such as indexing issues, duplicate content, and broken links.
Optimize existing content to enhance rankings, click-through rates (CTRs), and engagement metrics.
Process Development & Performance Tracking:
Establish a scalable, repeatable process for content creation, optimization, and performance tracking.
Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as organic traffic, search rankings, conversions, and domain authority growth, providing actionable insights.
Stay informed on Google algorithm updates and industry trends to refine strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
Manage and organize a content calendar aligned with business goals and keyword priorities.
Collaborate with writers, designers, developers, and marketing teams to ensure smooth execution of SEO initiatives.
Requirements:
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
5+ years of experience in SEO content strategy, with a proven track record of increasing organic rankings and domain authority.
Strong writing and content development skills with a focus on SEO optimization.
In-depth knowledge of BrightEdge, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and other SEO tools.
Expertise in technical SEO, including site architecture, structured data, and page performance optimization.
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed, data-driven decisions.
Excellent organizational skills for building and managing content workflows.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience working with CMS platforms.
Knowledge of off-page SEO, including link-building, PR strategies, and digital outreach.
Background in B2B, SaaS, or technology industries.
Location: Remote (Must work EST hours)
Role type: Contract 12 Month Position
Expected hours: 40 per week
