POSITION TITLE: Videographer
POSITION PURPOSE:
We're looking for a creative filmmaker (primarily a cinematographer, with secondary editing skills) who thrives in a creative environment and gets excited about the chance to experiment in all kinds of genres and content formats. Not afraid to take risks with learning new filmmaking techniques and genres, from fashion campaigns to documentary interviews, Ecommerce, social media campaigns, and more
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
CINEMATOGRAPHY AND POST-PRODUCTION: Must be an experienced cinematographer able to work with all kinds of cameras and lenses, lighting and crews. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with full crews as well. While cinematography is the primary skill, the ideal candidate will also have experience editing in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve, with the ability to assist in editing projects across multiple genres of video projects. A willingness to learn new editing styles and techniques, such as color correction. Should take pride in storytelling and be able to match and emulate different video styles. CREATIVE THINKER AND DOER: This role requires a self-starting creative storyteller who can take a project from ideation to final export independently when needed. We need someone who thrives in creative problem-solving, embraces challenges, and believes that every project has a solution-there's no such thing as "not possible."
TEAMWORK: A team-player who can work collaboratively with directors, producers, editors, and other departments. Excellent communication skills to communicate technical challenges to other departments and clients, who may not be familiar with video workflows. Should be comfortable using basic storyboards, pre-vis, scripts, and/or any tools possible to keep communication as clear as possible from the beginning of projects. Takes creative ownership of their work while being open to feedback, applying notes from outside parties, and staying aligned with brand guidelines and "big picture" project objectives. Values time management and thrives under varying deadlines-whether it's a months-long production or a last-minute, same-day turnaround ("rush-jobs").
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 4-6 Years
