Responsibilities
- Record verbatim proceedings using stenograph machines
- Prepare accurate transcripts and submit final ASCII files online
- Proofread transcripts for accuracy
- Clarify inaudible statements with speakers
- Provide transcripts to judges, lawyers, or the public upon request
- Transcribe recorded proceedings following established formats
Qualifications
- Certified Shorthand Reporter (CSR) license or NCRA RPR certification
- Attention to detail, dependability, independence, integrity, self-control, and cooperation
