As the Production Expeditor you will ensure the flow of materials to support the master production schedule by monitoring for shortages and other potential problems, communicates in written or verbal form, create reports and acts to expedite the materials/WIP through the manufacturing process. Expeditor will work with the cross functional operations team such as Production Supervisors, P&M Employees, Planning team and Production Manager. You will report to the Production Manager. This position is onsite in our Sylmar, CA. facility. Key Responsibilities Expedite, route, and dispatch materials and parts in accordance with production schedules and commitments Removes obstacles for aged WIP on production schedules Generate progress reports on status and keeps records of completed orders Manage important part programs across the shop Compile and maintain material and parts inventory and status information to expedite movement of material and parts between production areas, according to predetermined production schedules and order priorities Research inventory discrepancies found and reconciles Report on completion dates, material changes or substitutions, shortages, and schedule modifications. Take appropriate action to expedite materials such as order damaged material repaired or in-house material transportation. May operate forklift, part lifter, pallet loader or pallet jacks

Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience expediting or materials planning through a manufacturing environment Associate's degree could be considered as equivalent to manufacturing experience Ability to manage multiple projects Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Macros and Power-Point) Customer service oriented US Citizen or Permanent Resident Salary Range $50,000-$56,000 De salarisschalen en overige arbeidsvoorwaarden van PPG kunnen per locatie verschillen, waardoor we medewerkers in verschillende geografische markten concurrerend kunnen belonen.
