Who are we?
Auxiliary Services is a not for profit corporation that provides ancillary services for the SUNY Oswego College Community.
Currently Auxiliary Services has three resident dining halls, eight retail cafes, and the college store entities!
Each outlet offers a different experience for our diverse student population.
Our
goal
is to ensure that Auxiliary Services is marketed congruently in a manner that is relatable to the ever changing student body.
We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated individual who can work independently, as well as in a team setting, and an eager intern to support our growing business needs during the academic year.
Internship Overview:
As an intern, you will be working closely with the executive director, divisional directors, and department managers. You will be provided real projects and daily tasks that use social media platforms to promote and manage Auxiliary Services brand image. Interns will be able to apply classroom based knowledge to projects and gain essential skills needed to be career ready. Auxiliary Services is dedicated to developing successful leaders and we strive to make this internship as realistic and informative as possible.

Credit Eligibility:
Up to 3 academic credits (GST or departmental - Please contact Tina Cooper, Internship Coordinator, for information on earning credit for this internship)
Compensation:
$15.00
Internship Roles & Responsibilities:• Manage, grow and moderate social media presence/profiles• Utilize social media profiles to campaign events including dining center specific events, health & wellness events, and retail promotional events• Maintain Twitter, Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Snapchat with appropriate and relatable content• Utilize campus cohorts and systems to promote activities (including usage of Oswego Today submissions and campus calendar)• Build consistent promotions and feature stories of how students and the overall campus community utilize Auxiliary Services
Qualifications• Advanced knowledge of popular social media platforms from a brand perspective• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Highly organized• Ability to project, prioritize, and meet deadlines• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel• Currently a SUNY Oswego
matriculated junior or senior status student•
Minimum GPA of 2.8•
Must register for internship credit through EXCEL office.
Note: This internship is eligible for two semesters of internship credit. Seniors graduating in May 2025 are also encouraged to apply to complete one semester of this internship.
