Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Technical Designer at Tecture located in San Diego, CA. The Junior Technical Designer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as the creation of shop drawings for client approval and the creation of production drawings for fabrication. The Junior Technical Designer works with and reports directly to the Technical Design Lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Manipulate and dissect a fully detailed 3D model to create Shop Drawings and Production Drawings
- Assist Technical Design Lead in the creation of drawings for samples and prototypes
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Rhino 3D or similar CAD/CAM software
- Working knowledge and understanding of how both architectural scale and furniture scale objects are constructed
- A background in Product Design, Signage, Furniture Design, Exhibit Design, High-end Custom Millwork or similar
- High attention to detail
- Must be clean and organized
- Self-motivated and schedule driven
