EPC DESIGNERS - NUCLEAR FACILITY
iParametrics, in collaboration with Fluor, is seeking experienced Designers to join our team on the Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) project. We are looking for skilled individuals in various design disciplines to contribute to this crucial industrial project involving engineering, procurement, and construction services.
Location: Greenville, SC
Architecture Designer - Expertise in 2D and 3D architectural design software including Autodesk AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, and SketchUp.
Civil Designer - Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and related software.
I & C Designer - Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation, Autodesk AutoCAD, and Intergraph SPI. Solid understanding of control systems and P&ID requirements.
Process Designer - Broad experience across multiple engineering fields.
Structural Designer - Expertise in Intergraph Smart3D and Bentley MicroStation.
Qualifications for All Designers:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a related technical field, with a preference for those holding an associate degree or higher.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and 2D CADD, particularly with software such as Autodesk AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, and others relevant to the specific role.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with federal, state, and local codes and standards.
- Proven ability to perform detailed design work in compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with project management, coworkers, clients, vendors, and subcontractors
- Experience with design and construction of systems and structures for nuclear facilities under ASME NQA-1.
- Practical field experience and previous involvement in EPC projects for government agencies or in the nuclear, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industries.
- Advanced software proficiency relevant to specific design disciplines.
About the Project:
The Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) project is a significant endeavor undertaken by Fluor as the Construction Management subcontractor for Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS), the managing and operating contractor at the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site (SRS). The project, based in South Carolina, is designed to support the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration's (NNSA) mission of pit production.
Main Goal: The primary aim of the project is to produce plutonium pits, which are essential components for national nuclear security. This project updates an existing facility to ensure it can withstand earthquakes and includes the addition of new support structures.
Safety and Security: The facility is built to the highest safety standards, able to withstand any expected natural or manmade disasters.
Structural Modifications: Significant upgrades are being made to the facility, including adding equipment necessary for producing plutonium pits.
