In this position... We are hiring a passionate and proven leader to drive the next generation of user experiences. As a Senior UX Manager, you will drive UX direction within Ford Credit and lead a team of highly talented designers. The Senior UX Manager will be responsible for delivering and promoting superior user experience designs to deliver on business requirements that enhances our digital experiences and products, meets business goals, and strengthens the relationship between Ford Credit and its customers. This role also will be responsible for understanding customer behavior, collaborating on conceptual designs for new products, and working closely with product management, development, and other stakeholders throughout the organization. What you'll do...
Create a high performance team by hiring, mentoring, and managing managers, designers and researchers. Set creative and strategic vision for the areas your team will support. Help create team processes, standards, and culture. Contribute guidance on design systems and standards. Drive research agenda for the area your team covers, and ensuring design decisions reflect. Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Qualifications
You'll have...
Bachelor's Degree in UX/Interaction/Product Designer/Visual Design working across a breadth of digital media or a combination of education and equivalent experience. 5+ years of managing high performing UX teams. 10+ years of experience working with agile software development teams and design software such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. Portfolio of work demonstrating ability to lead the creation of exceptional customer experiences across a range of touchpoints as well as proficiency in UI and interaction design with case studies. Master's degree in UX/Interaction/Product Designer/Visual Design working across a breadth of digital media or a combination of education and equivalent experience. Experience conducting discovery and user validation interviews. Experience crafting high profile consumer websites and apps. Expert visual design acumen demonstrated through owning product design end-to-end and ability to create interactive experiences with prototyping software or by hand. Understanding of modern front-end technologies and frameworks. Experience with Automotive design and designing for e-commerce.
