Profiles is hiring a UI Systems Engineer for a global retailer on a 6-month contract to perm opportunity.

*MUST have experience within the eCommerce retail (clothing/garments) industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement complex UI components and interaction patterns that maintain design fidelity while meeting performance requirements.
• Architect and develop reusable animation systems and transition frameworks that scale across our products.
• Partner with UX Design Engineer and designers to evolve technical approaches for implementing advanced interface concepts.
• Build and maintain core UI infrastructure components that enable consistent, high-quality user experiences.
• Establish best practices for performance optimization in animation and interactive elements.
• Provide technical leadership in front-end architecture decisions, particularly around UI performance and interaction complexity.

Qualifications:

• Strong front-end engineering foundation with deep expertise in UI architecture and performance optimization.
• Expertise in complex CSS animations, transitions, and responsive design implementation.
• Experience with iOS development in SwiftUI or UIKit.
• Experience building and maintaining design system components at scale.
• Understanding of UX principles and ability to collaborate effectively with designers.
• Track record of solving complex technical challenges while maintaining exceptional user experience.
