Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Lead and integrate the efforts of the epub / eBook production, media production, permissions & rights, development editing, and media editorial teams. Enable development editorial and media editorial teams with the best tools, programs, and practices to advance their expertise at designing and creating content for learning. Modernize and standardize content creation techniques and practices to produce learning assets more quickly and economically, while maintaining high standards of quality. Collaborate closely with the VP of Discipline Strategy and the SVP of Pedagogical Design to ensure strategic alignment and optimal capacity planning across teams. Implement data-driven and metric-driven management approaches to optimize operations and track the development and execution of innovative working methods. Foster a change-oriented culture that enables content creators and leverages data to demonstrate progress and unify the team. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree. Proven leadership experience in a senior management role, preferably in a related industry that values content deployed via digital platforms. Strong background in content production and digital publishing. Demonstrable experience with data-driven decision-making and metric-based implementation. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams. Adaptive leadership style with a commitment to driving change and innovation. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in educational technology or learning resource development. Experience in media, gaming, and technology industries outside educational publishing. Advanced degree in a relevant field. Salary:
$175,000 - $225,000 / year Exemption Status:
Exempt Physical Requirements: Requires periods of close concentration. Must be able to multi-task. The position is eligible for remote employment, excluding the following locations: Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, Mississippi, Nevada, South Dakota, West Virginia, Wyoming. Preference is given to candidates located in New York, NY; Boston, MA; Austin, TX. Regular full-time and qualifying part-time employees and their dependents are eligible for Macmillan benefits, effective on the employee’s date of hire.
