Job Description
We are seeking Compositors to join our team of talented artists, working across our feature and episodic productions in our VFX division, based out of our soon to be launched studio in Toronto.
As a Compositor you will establish the looks of visual effects shots, driving the creative as well as the technical approach taken. You will work alongside a team of artists and our VFX supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Fulfil the creative expectations set by both the client and VFX Supervisor
- Be a proactive point of contact for artists, supervisors and production on any compositing related matters
- Supports the team, sharing knowledge and techniques when creative and technical challenges arise
Requirements
What we're looking for
- Strong experience compositing in Nuke and working with a combination of live action plates and CG
- A strong understanding of Lighting and Composition to achieve photo-realism on high profile shows
- Practical working knowledge of Passes, AOVs and render management
- Ability to build organised scripts and multitask
- Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines
- Good communicator within a team and ability to take direction positively
Nice-to-have
- Experience building Nuke tools and template scripts
- Experience using Shotgrid for shot management
- Experience using Mocha for tracking
