Overview
State Garden is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to support marketing and sales initiatives across our brands, including Olivia's Organics, Northeast Fresh, and Locally Known. This onsite role, based in Chelsea, MA, will play a key role in executing social media strategies, shopper marketing, and digital marketing campaigns while also coordinating community engagement efforts and supporting sales initiatives.
The ideal candidate has a passion for food and is a creative, organized, and detail-oriented professional with experience in social media execution, digital marketing, and retail-focused shopper marketing programs.
Duties and Responsibilities
Marketing & Brand Support:
Assist in developing and executing shopper marketing programs, including retailer-specific promotions, in-store activations, and digital shopper campaigns.
Plan, create, and publish content across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
Support digital marketing efforts, including paid media, influencer partnerships, and email marketing campaigns.
Coordinate the development of in-store point-of-sale (POS) materials, promotional signage, and merchandising programs.
Help manage public relations initiatives to increase consumer awareness and media coverage.
Community & Grassroots Engagement:
Work with local organizations and non-profits to coordinate community outreach and grassroots marketing initiatives.
Assist in planning and executing sampling programs, activations, and local sponsorships to drive brand awareness.
Represent the company at local events to promote engagement and strengthen relationships within the community.
Retail & Trade Marketing:
Support retail-specific digital marketing efforts, including retailer e-commerce promotions and banner ads.
Assist in trade show planning and execution, including booth design, promotional materials, and event logistic
Conduct market research to track industry trends, competitor activity, and customer insights.
Sales Support Activities:
Work closely with the sales team to develop customer presentations and sales collateral.
Track and analyze promotional campaign performance to measure effectiveness and provide insights for optimization.
Assist in managing sample requests, sales team collateral, and internal sales tools.
Collaborate with operations and product development teams on new product launches and category expansion opportunities.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Hands-on experience managing social media platforms and content scheduling tools.
Strong understanding of shopper marketing and digital campaign execution, including retailer-specific promotions and paid media strategies.
Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, marketing software, and social media analytics tools.
Experience with graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) is a plus.
A passion for fresh produce, food marketing, and community engagement.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in marketing, social media management, shopper marketing, or digital marketing, preferably in fresh produce, food, or consumer-packaged goods (CPG).
Work Environment:
This is a full-time onsite role based in Chelsea, MA.
Occasional travel for industry events, trade shows, and community activations may be required.
Some exposure to refrigerated facilities when coordinating product sampling and field marketing efforts.
