Overview
Actalent is actively hiring several entry level designers to work on high voltage power distribution projects. This position will help create designs for power distribution systems. Will assist in design activities, including quality reviews, review of high voltage materials, map out construction for project scopes, monitor and maintain project schedules, report changes that affect the schedule and budget, identify risks that may affect schedule and costs, and presenting opportunities to improve the design and construction of distribution projects.
Responsibilities:
Prepare distribution sketches, calculations, bills of material and any other required documents for construction. This could include plan and profiles, structure loadings, design details, trench and conduit drawings, and equipment specifications.
Apply client's standards, guidelines, specifications, practices, procedures and industry standards in preparing the design of overhead and/or underground electric distribution facilities. Communicate with client and engineers on project requirements.
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelors degree in drafting/design or engineering technology
0-1 years of relevant drafting and detailing experience with AutoCAD
Must be comfortable in fielding and office setting.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
