Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office) in California. The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations in California.
The Director Medi-Cal Plan Marketing is responsible for the planning and direction of specific marketing strategies for Anthem Blue Cross’s Medi-Cal Health Plan in CA. The Director oversees marketing-related operations such as direct marketing, product development, agency management, marketing research, marketing events, or marketing communications. This position will also provide oversight of health plan growth strategies and retention tactics, and work to ensure alignment with internal collaborative partners.
How you will make an impact:
Responsible for coordinating and directing the efforts of the Medicaid growth and engagement initiatives
Ensuring marketing plans within the region meet state contractual requirements
Developing and implementing individual health plan Community Relations Strategy
Collaboration in creating robust value added benefits to improve quality outcomes, including member selection and member engagement approach
Driving member retention programs
Leads efforts to develop key partnerships that drive innovation and growth
Audits website and relevant vendor relationships – providing oversight and performance management
Researches and evaluates competitive activity
Implements effective tracking mechanisms for tracking daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly activities and productivity
Develops and conducts office and field rep training methods
Makes recommendations to appropriate functions to achieve product modifications or improvements derived from market research, technical service work or Marketing feedback
Develops and recommends department operating budgets
Secures approval of objectives, policies and programs for corporate marketing activities, and evaluates and reports results
In partnership with brand management, responsible for identifying appropriate media opportunities
Hires, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 8 years of related experience including prior leadership experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
Master's degree preferred.
Experience in working with the Medi-Cal population, including but not limited to seniors, persons with mental or physical disabilities, or individuals who are homeless preferred.
Managed Care Health Plan experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills strongly preferred.
Project management certification preferred
Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) preferred.
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $133,768.00 - $200,652.00
