Objectives of this role:
- Agency process for developing websites, banners, emails, and related tactics
- Agency approach and process for omnichannel promotion
- Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
- How to document business and functional requirements for development projects
- How to estimate complex technical projects
- How to set up and manage projects in Jira
- Coaching & delegation
- Giving and receiving feedback
- Handling conflict and difficult conversations
- Motivating team members
- Managing high performing individuals
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produce digital projects for small to mid-size clients
- Own the digital production process and be technically savvy enough to discuss requirements with the development team.
- Manage schedules and assignments for technical projects using management tools like Jira, standup documents, etc.
- Lead development planning with the team and creates documentation & process flow as needed. Should be able to understand an ask/problem/goal and turn that into an action plan, while consulting with necessary parties.
- Gather and document functional requirements for development projects.
- Estimate project level of effort and time required.
- Setup and manage Jira boards for assigned projects and brands
- Ensure Jira tickets for development tasks are complete and thorough before dev handoff.
- Monitor and triage Jira tickets as they move through the project lifecycle.
- Monitor and enact changes to preserve the financial health of development projects.
- Assign technical resources to projects and assist in maintaining high billability.
- Assist junior producers with project tickets as needed.
- Own communication streams with internal project teams and client IT departments as needed.
- Have an active role in project meetings, providing insight and answers, while being able to call out when there may be issues or questions.
- Be an active participant in client calls as needed, providing insight, identifying potential issues, and answering questions on behalf of the Marketing Technology team.
- May be accountable for performance, growth, and overall professional health of producers of various levels under their direct report.
- Mentor direct and indirect reports, providing guidance on technical career progression plans.
- Create and present annual performance reviews for direct reports
- Review & approve time sheets for direct reports
Job Requirements:
- Experienced in web and mobile application development and design best practices
- Minimum of 5 years in a producer or project management role
- BA/BS degree
- Familiarity with digital development life cycle and project management methods and tools, and has a good understanding of relevant software technologies
- A team player with strong time-management skills, the ability to motivate others to deliver excellence, and poise and focus under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Jira
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
