About the Role
What Does a Communications Officer, Speech Writer Do?
As a Communications Officer, Speech Writer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the foundation’s messaging and thought leadership. Your primary responsibility will be crafting high-quality speeches, op-eds, and editorial content that reflect the vision and priorities of the foundation’s leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write high-quality speeches, scripts, and op-eds for the foundation’s leadership, including Bill Gates and Mark Suzman.
- Conduct research and collaborate with program teams, leadership teams, and country offices to ensure content aligns with the foundation’s goals.
- Manage tight deadlines and navigate feedback from multiple stakeholders while maintaining a consistent narrative.
- Develop authentic narratives tailored to the unique voices of leadership.
- Occasionally manage freelancers and contractors for writing projects.
