V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Front End Software Engineer - 3D and Animation for our premier client in Ontario, Canada.
Education and Experience » Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, computer science or a related field. In-depth knowledge of API and networking patterns, including RESTful services and modern asynchronous communication techniques, to ensure seamless data exchange and integration between front-end applications and back-end services. Experience determining requirements, and quickly iterating based on user feedback. Evangelize the importance of communication through code, presentations, slack/teams, and meetings Skilled at building user-facing applications and supporting systems and libraries on web and/or desktop using front-end technologies with a strong focus on accessibility
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities » Core: HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+) etc. WebGL or Canvas. TypeScript. React, Vue, or other modern front-end frameworks.
Game Development: Experience with game loops and animation frames. State management for complex game scenarios. Event-driven programming for game actions.
Animation, Graphics & Audio: WebGL fundamentals or libraries (Three.js, Babylon.js). CSS animations and transitions. SVG manipulation. Sprite animation techniques. Web Audio API. Sound effect management.
Performance Optimization: Asset loading strategies and compression. Memory management. Frame rate optimization. Efficient rendering techniques. Performance profiling.
UX/UI: Responsive designs. Game UI component design. Accessibility considerations for games. Intuitive player controls and interactions.
Soft Skills Problem-solving for game mechanics. Attention to detail for gameplay polish. Collaboration with game designers and artists. User testing and feedback integration.
WHAT YOU’LL DO: Job Responsibilities: Aid in the design and development of complex web applications. Ensure the scalability and performance of applications. Bring energy and commitment to our inclusive and equitable team environment. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features. Contribute to the software development lifecycle from planning to deployment. Refactoring existing code for maintainability and performance. Mentor and guide others.
