Position Summary The Senior Manager - Marketing & Content position will work with the Director of Marketing to market the facilities and events while creating and maintaining relationships with media and promotional partners. The Senior Manager - Marketing & Content will assist in advertising, media buying, promotions, public relations, interactive media, and grassroots efforts for events as assigned. The role will also assume all Director of Marketing - Firebirds functions in the absence of the Director. This role offers an annual salary of $78,000-$81,000 and is bonus eligible. About the Venue The AHL Coachella Valley Firebirds are owned jointly by Oak View Group and the Seattle Kraken ownership group. The Firebirds are the affiliate of the Seattle Kraken. Develop, maintain, and coordinate event and facility advertising programs and opportunities. Prepare written proposals; reevaluate potential advertising value of marketing inventory; initiate contractual arrangements; prepare contracts; negotiate terms as required. Prepare clear and concise advertising/marketing/sponsorship inventory reports. Implement and administer public relations efforts for the facility and its events. Develop and issue press releases; maintain media contact list and relationships. Review progress of public relations and marketing efforts through reports. Assist in developing marketing plans to generate revenue and provide added value to events or promoters. Solicit and develop contracts and sales materials; negotiate agreements. Manage and participate in setting marketing goals, policies, and priorities. Create and place advertising media. Maintain detailed media budgets, reconciliation, and recap summaries for events. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, public relations, communications, business, or related field. Minimum 5+ years of experience in sales and/or marketing, preferably in sports, convention centers, performing arts, or similar venues. Strong leadership, organizational, and computer skills. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in social media, digital media campaigns, database marketing, and web-based advertising. Strong work ethic and accountability. Proficient in Microsoft Office, database management, graphic design, PowerPoint, and familiar with Adobe Photoshop (preferred). Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required.
