Client Overview:
Our client is an apparel & fashion brand that specializes in women's, juniors' and girls' apparel.
With multiple channels of distribution across the country in both department stores and specialty
chains, they design apparel that is on trend and appeals to their customer's needs. They are
looking for an Apparel Graphic Designer to join their team and help continue creating products
that resonate with their customers.
Apparel Graphic Designer Responsibilities: As Apparel Graphic Designer, you will work with
juniors apparel. You will support internal teams to create and develop original illustrations, designs, and textile repeat patterns for screen prints t-shirts and sweatshirts. You will be responsible for creating and executing graphics and CAD for the line and production placements. • Prepare artwork and /or all over prints. • Pitch out the exact color using pantones/swatches for artwork/prints. • Create Production template. • Resize artwork to fit Production pattern templates. • Liaison for create garment cads and pattern repeats. • Create artwork for the line and projects for Sales Reps. • Manage responsibility for artwork Send-Outs to screeners and follow up. • Handle responsibility for approvals between Design and Production. • Complete all production orders before sales delivery date. • Must double check work to ensure consistent accuracy as mistakes directly impact financial operations for the department and company. • Update all production order books for Designer and VP Design. • Print and update all cads for fittings. • Do daily follow up for all pending projects. • Maintain an organized workspace. • Organize all computer files. • Back-up all artwork on disks and maintain archives.
Apparel Graphic Designer Requirements: • 3-4 years of hands on experience in apparel graphics art, specifically juniors • Bachelor's degree preferred. • Excellent proficiency in Photoshop CS and Illustrator CS. • Technical knowledge of fabrics, silhouettes, prints, colors, and trims.
