Purpose:
Manages the flow of work through the Service Department from customer interaction through repair completion and invoicing. Assists the Service Manager in maintaining accurate and on-time reports and records relative to the Service Department’s operation within the dealership.
Responsibilities:
- Fields internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department
- Open work orders as directed by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman and manage the work order cycle process until they are closed and invoiced
- Monitor and maintain Service Productivity and Attendance Report for accuracy and weekly payroll processing
- Maintain the service library with current information (e.g. files bulletins, manuals, multi-media, etc.) under the direct supervision of the Service Manager
- Utilize Modern to assist with scheduling and communication with customers
- Maintain Service Department filing and records
- Knowledge of DSi and may be responsible for assisting in DSi for transportation
- Update customer profiles regarding equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work orders
- Responsible for other duties as assigned by your manager
Requirements:
Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Basic knowledge of accounting practices and office procedures
- Strong customer service and communication skills in person and over the phone
- Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports
- General understanding of mechanical/technical terms is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
