SALARY: $49,000-54,000 annually with bonus opportunities

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design visually compelling marketing materials for Avocet Hospitality’s portfolio of hotels and restaurants, including social media graphics, email templates, digital ads, brochures, presentations, and other brand collateral under the leadership of the VP of Marketing and guidance of the Creative Director.
Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams as well as other internal stakeholders to develop cohesive and impactful brand visuals, print layouts and advertising.
Assist in creating and maintaining brand guidelines for all properties and their respective outlets.
Edit and retouch images to enhance marketing campaigns and maintain brand consistency.
Work closely with the digital marketing team to design website graphics, landing pages, and UI elements to enhance user experience.
Ensure all designs are optimized for digital and print formats.
Stay up to date on current design trends, particularly in the hospitality and travel industries to keep branding fresh and competitive.
Manage multiple design projects from concept to completion simultaneously, meeting deadlines and ensuring creative expectations are met in a fast-paced environment.
Assist the Creative Director on photo and video shoots, contributing to content creation and visual storytelling.
Additional duties as assigned by the Senior Vice President, VP of Marketing, or Creative Director.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts or related field. A strong portfolio showcasing a range of digital and print design work.
Experience: 1-2 years of professional design experience is preferred; strong internship experience will be considered.
Skills:
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
Familiarity with Canva, Figma, or other design tools is a bonus.
Strong understanding of design principles, typography and color theory.
Experience creating content for social media and digital marketing.
Ability to take creative direction and translate it into compelling visuals.
Exceptional attention to details and a passion for design excellence.
Knowledge of print production processes and file preparation.
Understanding of branding and how to create a consistent visual identity.
Basic knowledge of web design and UX/UI principles is a plus.
Self-motivated with excellent communication, collaboration and time management skills
Experience in video editing or motion graphics experience (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects) is a plus.
Experience with custom illustrations and logo design is a plus.
Experience in the hospitality or travel industry is a plus but not required.

Resilience under pressure, with the ability to meet tight deadlines, manage revisions, and maintain composure while collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including internal teams, vendors, and creative partners. .
Work Environment:
This is a hybrid role, with weekly in-office collaboration required at our downtown Charleston, SC-based office. Candidates should be based within commuting distance of Downtown Charleston, SC. Occasional travel may be required for on-site work at the hotels, photo/video shoots, team meetings or special projects and may involve varying conditions and circumstances with guests, staff, third-party vendors, etc.
