Job Description
- Author maintenance manuals, structural repair manuals, non-destructive testing manuals, tool & equipment manuals, and component maintenance manuals using engineering data and drawings to provide detailed aircraft airworthiness instructions.
- Create illustrations for maintenance documents to accompany technical publications.
- Perform quality checks of work packages for accuracy and consistency.
- Follow and improve established procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers, core teams, and customer service to validate maintenance procedures.
- Preferred: Degree in an aviation-related field or equivalent technical writing experience.
- Experience with A&P license or military aviation maintenance and Technical Orders is a plus.
- Ability to research and analyze engineering drawings and technical data.
- Knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance practices, manufacturing, and GAMA/ATA guidelines.
- Experience with SGML/XML, Arbortext, Adobe FrameMaker, or similar tools.
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
