This position is a temporary contract role with potential to move to Full Time. This Designer position is like no other. COME work with US and go GREAT things! Responsibilities
Performs mechanical layout and design tasks from moderately complex integrated microwave assemblies; designs sub-system products from the mechanical aspect; draws and revises detailed part and assembly drawings; uses computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as Creo, AutoCAD and Solidworks; adheres to established engineering drafting practices; manages design control through the use of Pro/INTRALINK, Windchill or similar documentation control tool. Generate mechanical layouts and new drawings with engineering input from Electrical and Mechanical Engineers; incorporate engineering change orders involving complex design changes. Liaison between Responsible Engineer and Mechanical Engineer for design layout. Recommend selection of component hardware. Prepare parts lists. Design with DFM and DFA in mind. Collaborate with Engineers in the validation of design standards and other Engineer processes. Manage the creation, revision and release of CAD models and drawings using Pro/INTRALINK. Collaborate in team meetings and activities. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Two (2)+ years of experience in electro-mechanical design. Two (2)+ years of experience in CREO 4 or higher. This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license). Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree in Technical Field. Five (5)+ years of experience in electro-mechanical design. Active Security Clearance. Highly team-oriented. Salary Range:
Senior Mechanical Designer: $33.57 - $48.71 per hour .
Principal Mechanical Designer: $37.52 - $56.28 per hour
Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
