Title: Graphic Production Artist
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Duration: 6 months Contract with possibility for an extension
Type: W2 Contract
Minimum Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or at least 4 years of equivalent experience in a hands-on, high-volume web or HTML email design and publishing environment (or equivalent)
- Photoshop expertise, particularly setting up files for a web production and adhering to graphic design standards
- Excellent design and typography sensibilities applicable to web pages and HTML email
- Solid standards-based HTML, CSS, and general web publishing knowledge
- Highly detail-oriented, with a drive for perfection down to the last pixel
- Thrives in a challenging, fast-paced web publishing workplace
- Self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to be client-facing
- Proficiency in OS & iOS software
- Good awareness of current and emerging technologies
- Resourceful, adaptable, creative, and results-oriented with high energy and a positive attitude
- Must be able to travel as required, sometimes for several weeks at a time
Responsibilities
- GPAs create new artwork and localize supplied artwork (hardware, screens, lifestyle, etc) in a Photoshop file based on the requirements for the locale, optimize the asset for visual clarity set by the client’s standards, export the asset into various formats required by the deliverable and checks the assets into a repository
- The GPA checks its work on various platforms to ensure quality, consistency, and correctness, reporting lines, and key stakeholders
- Update product imagery and UI elements in Photoshop comps, and output web graphics
- Structure Photoshop comps to optimize efficient product design and localization workflows using slices, smart objects, and layer comps
- Track and check on web graphics using a version control system
- Work closely with producers, traffic, development, publishing, and international teams to meet project goals and ensure efficient file handoffs for localization
- Review final webpages and HTML emails with an exacting eye, ensuring that graphics and layouts are flawless
