Job DescriptionCompany Description
We are a fast-paced printing company specializing in delivering high-quality printed materials to a diverse clientele. We are seeking an experienced Graphic Designer/Prepress Specialist to join our team and play a key role in creating and preparing files for print production.
Responsibilities:
- Design and layout a variety of printed materials including brochures, business cards, flyers, banners, packaging, and more.
- Prepare and preflight files for offset, digital, and large format printing processes.
- Ensure all artwork is print-ready by correcting color issues, setting proper bleeds, and checking resolution, fonts, and layers.
- Work closely with the production team to troubleshoot and resolve any file issues during the prepress process.
- Operate prepress software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and RIP software.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure the accuracy of print specifications and customer requirements.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Maintain an organized archive of design files for future use.
- Communicate with customers until job completion.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in the graphic design and prepress field, preferably within the printing industry.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and knowledge of prepress workflow and printing standards.
- Strong understanding of color management, print resolution, and file formats (PDF, EPS, etc.).
- Knowledge of digital, offset, and large format printing processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot file issues related to trapping, imposition, and spot colors.
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Customer service oriented.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with RIP software and imposition software (Fiery).
- Knowledge of variable data printing.
- Familiarity with prepress equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously.
