Description
Welcome! If you are a photographer who is interested in seeing the world while doing what you do best, we have an exciting opportunity to share with you, as a member of our Photography Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for capturing images in portrait stations, events, decks, dining rooms & gangways
- Responsible for maximizing individual image counts and image quality to reach performance goals
- Willing to animate mascots and costumes inside/outside the ship for photo shoots, engaging guests with lively energy and enthusiasm
- Cover all photo events as deemed necessary by the Photo Manager
- Demonstrates excellence in providing positive customer service to guests and crew.
- Fosters a culture of good customer service with the photo team.
- Aims to resolve customer service challenges onboard to reach an amicable resolution with guests before disembarking the ship
- Deliver excellent customer service while handling sales of photo and retail items and dealing with guest requests and minor complaints
- Interacts with every passenger, observing and identifying passengers’ preferences and adjusting service, accordingly, anticipating passengers’ needs, and engaging in conversation
- Thoroughly understand the HAL product and Photo-Video operations, products, and services
- Promote and make client bookings for Black Label and Premium studio photo sessions
- Receptively listens to and conscientiously acts upon feedback from management
- Participates productively in training and staff meetings with management.
- Ensures image quality standards are met
- Takes accountability for correctly protecting issued equipment and company assets as directed in the policies and procedures
- Photographers will be financially responsible for any negligent loss or damage to inventoried equipment that has been assigned them
- Constantly ensures that equipment is always used and maintained correctly and that any malfunctions or breakdowns are timely resolved
- Maintains safe working practices within the department and is knowledgeable in all aspects of safety on board the ship regarding the continued safety of the crew and guests
- Government Regulations: The Photo manager must comply with US Customs, Immigration and USPH regulations
Personal Qualifications
- United States citizen/resident with a valid Passport
- Formal photography education and training preferred
- Two years of event photography experience, including experience shooting portraits in large event settings
- Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, Darkroom & Centrics
- Basic working knowledge Outlook, Excel and Word
- Effective English communications skills including both written and verbal skills
- Organized & responsible, always project a professional image
- Creative thinker, ready to think outside the box
- Demonstrates the capacity to motivate and encourage teams
- Team player who lives & shares positive attitude
- Must be willing to work in inclement weather
- Must be willing to work a full 6-month contract
