Job Description
Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Technical Editor and Writer 2 for their Air Force’s Air Combat Command Live Mission Operation Network (LMON) program. This person will work with LMON team members to gather requirements from technical personnel, and based on those requirements, create and maintain technical LMON installation documentation. This position requires on-site presence Monday through Friday, with very limited, occasional weekend work.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Develop technical documentation for the LMON installation process, including installation design, as-built plans, detailed facility, cabling, power, HVAC, and network drawings.
- Travel periodically (25%) to LMON locations to survey proposed and existing installation sites, develop drawings, and include survey results in reports.
- Maintain LMON documentation and drawing libraries across relevant platforms used by the program.
- Develop and update other technical and administrative documentation using Microsoft Office products as needed.
- 3 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 1 year relevant experience with a Master's; or High School Diploma with 7 years relevant experience.
- Must have and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
- Experience using AUTODESK AutoCAD family of products.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat Professional.
- Familiarity with the Navy Shore Installation Process Handbook standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools like Confluence and JIRA is a plus.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members.
