Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Mechanical HVAC Designer to join our fast-paced Engineering team. This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing all aspects of mechanical systems for buildings in the K-12, higher education, and government space.
Responsibilities
Develop and design mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and temperature control systems for K-12, higher education, and government buildings.Create detailed 3D designs for complex projects using software such as AutoCAD and Revit.Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project requirements and goals.Conduct regular system calculations and analyses to ensure designs meet all necessary safety and performance standards.Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process.Ensure all designed systems meet legal and quality assurance requirements.Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards.Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced designers.Coordinate with other team members to identify and resolve potential design conflicts in early stages.Participate in project meetings and conference calls as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.A minimum of 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, specifically in building systems design.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.Experience in designing HVAC, plumbing, temperature control systems, and other MEP systems.Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, methodologies, and techniques.Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, as well as independently.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of work.Familiarity with the latest industry trends, technologies, and methodologies.Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
