The Communication Specialist performs tasks related to the operation of the console, paging systems, radios, and codes.

Responsibilities

• Receive and transfer all incoming and outgoing calls professionally while maintaining confidentiality.
• Manage 'emergency 6 phone' and handle emergency calls over the paging system, keeping records of emergencies.
• Coordinate with Security via radio and document emergency calls.
• Operate paging system for overhead announcements on-ground and off-ground.
• Maintain updated console log books and manuals.
• Assist in mailroom responsibilities as needed.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
• Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Preferred:

• At least one year of reception desk experience in a medical setting.
