Job Summary
• This role is responsible for supporting the installation of system applications, firmware updates, and configuration/testing activities and providing technical systems management support to design and develop complex technical designs. The role collaborates with customer-designated representatives, establishing and maintaining positive relationships, and offering planning and design support for solution architectures. The role actively engages in technical forums and contributes to a knowledge-sharing culture by ensuring proper documentation and reporting of imperative information.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate site and Device information to determine the appropriate Device placement to achieve the goals of the Customer requirements.
- Delineate Devices by Customer device classification (Enterprise/Specialty) and mutually agree on the appropriate placement principles for each classification type.
- Identify opportunities for business process optimizations based on work being done that can drive further optimization and greater business efficiency.
- Map Device layouts that display future Device distribution, network information for Devices and placement of Devices per floor per Site (if floor plans have been provided).
- Complete one design per site and revisions based on engagement with Customer.
- Updated current floor maps with Device placements indicated on the map(s).
- Detailed information about each Device within the scope of the analysis (including but not limited to Device ID, Hostname, Make, Model, Usage, Special print requirements, Secure print flag, etc.).
- Future State Supports in installing new system applications, updating firmware, and configuring/testing activities, alongside applications programming for assigned modules within larger programs, and participation in customer meetings.
• Utilizes the understanding of organization's technologies to offer technical systems manag - Floor Plan, showing new placements.
- Standardized IMACD template that details the following:
- Record of each Device, its disposition plan, and replacement Devices, if necessary.
- Special print queues that need to be moved, altered, or added.
- Fax numbers to be decommissioned, commissioned, or moved.
- Signify Secure Print, Encapture or other software to be enabled on the Device.
- All information including network jack information to execute on the design
- Operates with minimal direction from a technical lead, collaborating with customer-designated representatives to achieve assigned objectives, while also maintaining positive relationships with team members and customers.
• Provides planning and design support for the development of solution architectures or technical solutions in a multiple system environment.
• Engages in technical forums within the organization's ecosystem and local professional communities, contributing to and leveraging shared information.
• Coordinates with internal project management, consulting, support, and product development resources to ensure timely and quality customer delivery.
• Gathers, documents, and helps form/guide client business requirements, key performance indicators, and other functional and/or technical requirements.
• Assists in the technical scoping of engagements and works with practice principals to determine the duration of effort.
• Develops conclusions, recommendations, and written reports, contributing proactively through research and data analysis support, and sharing knowledge to foster a knowledge management culture.
• Works independently on moderate scope problems, applying professional expertise, exercising judgment, and resolving various issues by following company policies and procedures.
Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in implementation consultancy, customer support, focused technology areas, or a related field or an advanced degree with little or no work experience.
