Graduate Assistant - Studio 200
Graduate Assistant positions include a tuition waiver, a $5,000 yearly stipend, and potential on-campus housing free of charge.
Hastings College seeks Studio 200 graduate assistants for the 2024-2025 school year (August through May). Studio 200 is a student-centered, relationship-based support center that meets students where they are academically and partners with them through engagement and instruction to reach their next level of success. Ongoing training and mentorship will be provided.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Providing support to instructors and first-year students in selected courses by attending class, and giving instructional/administrative/grading support.
- Providing general academic, technological, time management, advising, and college-life-skills support to students in one-on-one and small group settings.
- Providing subject-specific tutoring, working with faculty and staff to support student success.
- Providing constructive and instructive feedback on essays, presentations, assignments, etc.
- Proctoring tests and providing testing accommodations.
- Creating new programming to meet student needs.
- Supporting the Student Engagement team and the first year experience.
- Managing and supervising the Studio 200 space.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required. Admittance into the Hastings College Masters of Teaching Program is also required.
